For March, my resolution was to eat less meat, or none at all. I actually started in mid-February, and was able to continue through the month. For the most part, it was fairly easy for me to refrain from eating meat. Although I did have chorizo street tacos twice, I mainly just cooked vegan meals at home.
For my next challenge, or resolution, I’ve decided that since we are in the middle of the coronavirus and the era of self quarantine, I will use April as my month of spring cleaning. For the month, I will participate in the Minimalism Game. I got this idea from my friend, Christine, who did this in December of 2018. For this challenge, I get rid of one item for the numeral value of the date. So on April 1st, I will get rid of one item, and on April 22nd, I will get rid of 22 items.

Even if I am not able to tackle the clutter every day, I will make sure to keep track of what I do get rid of, so the number at the end of the week, and the month, matches. So here is the breakdown of the number of things I will get rid of by the end of the month:
- Week 1: 10 items
- Week 2: 56 items
- Week 3: 105 items
- Week 4: 154 items
- Week 5: 140 items
- Total: 465 items
This will be a good motivator to actually go through my room and get rid of what I don’t need or use. I’ve always loved a good de-clutter, so here’s to hoping that this challenge will leave me feeling renewed. It will also hopefully be a good way for me to spend a productive few weeks while not leaving the house.
Side note: I was a little stir crazy this past weekend, so I started early, but I am still counting it toward the 465 items.
