Where’s the Coffee? 커피를 어디에요?

One of my favorite things about Korea has been exploring the many coffee shops. It seems as if there are three or four coffee shops on every street, and new ones are opening every other week.

I believe one of the reasons is because people tend to have smaller apartments, so it is very common to meet up with friends at coffee shops instead. But whatever the reason may be, I am glad there are so many.

First, I love coffee. I loved coffee back home, and my love, or addiction, has only grown since my arrival in Korea. Second, because I like to go to coffee shops and do work, study, or read. So it’s nice to change up the scenery every so often and go to a new one.

I’ll share some of the hidden gems I’ve found in Jinju since I’ve been here. First, Zelkova. The design themes are yellow and natural wood. Zelkova is actually a type of tree. It also has study rooms throughout and a tiny alcove on the second floor. This is probably my go to for studying, and I am actually sitting inside now as I write this.

The next one is Salon de Insa, which is just down the street from my apartment. While this place isn’t exactly the ideal spot for studying, it does have really good brunch, and with a rooftop patio, how could you pass up the view?

This post is short and sweet, but I will keep adding to the list of my favorite coffee shops in Korea! Thanks for reading! Stay safe and stay happy. 읽어줘서 고마워요! 안전하고 행복하게 지내라요.
